Thank-you, mom!
c) Grades reported: 4.0 gradepoint maintained!
d) My digital camera arrived. My "free" digital camera... I love you, Venetian!
e) My first straight flush in Texas Hold 'Em! Wish it had been for higher stakes, but I'll take it!

My mission tomorrow: spead some joy!

Well, I did it. The Big Presentation is over. I don't think I made too big an ass of myself. I have to add some stuff to my paper, but everyone has to do that.

Friday = Big Deal

I have to propose my thesis project this Friday. To my committee. In front of my fellow grad students. And I missed the presentations last Friday because of a meeting with said committee so I could figure out just what the heck the project IS. *sigh* It's my fellow grad students that has me worried. My committee is pretty much in on the whole project thing. I don't care if I look like a dumbass in front of them, because that would be their fault. But my fellow students...I have a rep to maintain!
I can do this.
I can do this.
I can do this.
Yeah, no big deal, really.

I was a person taking a midterm for Halloween this year. Yay. Evening classes kinda suck. Alot.
I'll make up for it next year.
On the plus side, I think I did ok on said midterm.

What's shakin'?

We are. We just felt the biggest earthquake thus far since moving to the Bay Area 5 years ago! It was long, too. I knew we were pushing our luck not having our earthquake straps and kit put together. That all happens this weekend, no excuses!

Fear

Many claims are being made these days so that, in fright, you will acquiesce to the erosion of your freedoms. Be vigilant. Be brave. Be American.
